About me

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm currently in 2nd year of my PhD investigating immune gene expression in sheep. I'm based at the Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh. My supervisors are Dr Emily Clark & Prof Mike Coffey.

After my first career in beauty therapy I went back to college to study Agriculture, hoping to explore ways in which we could live more sustainably. I progressed from a National Certificate (SCQF level 5) through to obtaining 1st class honours (BSc Agriculture).

Between my undergrad study and beginning my PhD I spent a year as Vice-President of SRUCSA, my college's Student Association (Union if you're south of the border). During my term the world was hit by the COVID19 pandemic. It was an eventful year as we worked to improve the experiences of our students across Scotland, supporting their learning and wellbeing.

I now work within the Ruminant Functional Genomics group, headed up by Dr Clark.
